Our USPs

  1. We are a specialist sales outsourcing company – delivering qualified sales appointments to UK consulting & services companies that sell to large organisations across a range of senior job functions.
  2. Due to our team’s talent and experience we deliver a uniquely flexible and qualified senior management sales meeting service. We are paid (usually) for the meetings that we deliver, and those meetings are agreed to be of a specific quality in advance. This reduces the risk for our clients, and separates us from other companies who rarely offer the mix that we do of ‘pay-per-meeting’ and qualification criteria.
  3. Our business model is all about shared risk. If a sales meeting we deliver does not match the criteria agreed in advance, we replace it with one that does without charge. This model required skill at our end, and a level of trust that we build gradually with clients over a period of time.
  4. We focus on the sale our client is trying to make, not the appointment we are trying to get. This improves the quality of pitch, presentation and commitment between us and our clients. The result is that our average client retention is 3 years.
  5. Since we started in 2005 our clients have won more than £14m in new contracts through sales meetings set up by buyingtime. We estimate the follow-on value of those contracts to be worth over £40m based upon the business models many of our clients operate.
  6. Our skilled teams work across many departments and job titles, from IT and marketing through to board level executives and ‘harder to find’ roles such as business change and operations. Our recommendation is to find the individual who wants to own a subject area rather than focussing on job titles specifically, but we allow our clients to always choose in the end.
  7. We offer sales support primarily to the directors of a client, not a sales team. We have found that the successful closure of new deals in the services sector necessitates relationship building at our entry point, but then subject matter expertise from the 1st meeting onwards.
  8. Sometimes a 1st meeting establishes credibility and interest but the timing is not right. After a 1st meeting has occurred we can take the contact back and keep it ‘live’ until a real opportunity exists. We have several examples of this model delivering non-competitive work worth in excess of £1m to our clients in the last few years.
  9. Our team is made up of long-term associates, each with a specific skill of method of working. We strive to be what most sales teams are not – hard working, accountable and focussed on results. In short, the people who are skilled and hard working keep working for us, and those who are not are no longer used. This has allowed us to build a team of enviable quality who we select carefully to work on particular client projects.
  10. We do not take on any work which conflicts with existing clients work, ever. Our clients have full veto regarding any new client we take on, and we only add to our client list when we believe that we can be successful together.

USP Benefits

We talk to our clients about reinforcing benefits all the time, so we should really do so for ourselves.  In the end the benefits will always come down to time and money. Using buyingtime will mean fewer wasted new business meetings, a better chance of closing new deals (hopefully without bidding competitively), and good use of your sales budget when considering our shared risk model. In the end, we are only successful if our clients close new business, so that is what we aim to help you do.
